Walktober: How to Participate

Registration for Walktober begins at four kickoff events or you can register online:

  • Boone County: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, at the Florence Government Center, 8100 Ewing Blvd., Florence, Ky.

  • Campbell County: 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, at Newport on the Levee, across from the Newport Aquarium

  • Grant County: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, at the Grant County Library, 201 Barnes Road, Williamstown, Ky.

  • Kenton County: 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, at the Kenton County Public Library’s Erlanger Branch, 401 Kenton Lands Road, Erlanger, Ky.

Each person will receive a Walktober log at the kickoff event, in addition to a T-shirt and a pedometer to track how far you walk. Remember to fill out your Walktober log as you exercise. Participants are also entered in a chance to a $100 cash prize.

If you are unable to attend a kickoff event, you can still participate by registering online; however those who register online will not receive a Walktober T-shirt or pedometer.  Students may also be able to register at their school.

Returning your log
When you've completed your Walktober log, you can return it at any public library branch in Boone, Campbell, Grant or Kenton counties or at any Health Department location. The deadline for log return is Sunday, November 9.
