2006 Awards

Three schools received the award at the 2006 REACH conference, held on February 23. Silver Grove School in Silver Grove, Ky.; Cline Elementary School in Cold Spring, Ky.; and Dixie Heights High School in Edgewood, Ky.; were recognized for their efforts to provide a coordinated approach to school health by forming strong partnerships with community organizations and resources, providing short physical activity breaks throughout the day to get kids up and moving, working with nutrition services to improve the health of the meals served, removing unhealthy food and drink items from vending machines and replacing them with lower fat/sugar items and milk and water.  Photos of each of staff from each of the winning schools are below.
