Tobacco-free worksites

A tobacco-free environment helps create a safe, healthy workplace. Nonsmoking employees are no longer exposed to the harmful effects of secondhand smoke and smoking employees are motivated to quit or cut back. There are many resources to assist companies considering a tobacco-free worksite policy. 

• Developed by the CDC, the guide: “Implementing a Tobacco-Free Campus Initiative in Your Workplace” walks companies through the steps to becoming tobacco free.
• Northern Kentucky Tobacco-Free Worksite Incentive Funds: The Health Department periodically offers incentive funds to companies in Northern Kentucky that are interested in making improvements to their worksite tobacco policies. Previously funded companies include: Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky, Commonwealth Orthopaedic, Schwan’s Inc., Post Glover Resistors and WILD Flavors.
• Request smoking cessation information for your employees
