How To Apply
The Health Department only accepts resumes and/or applications for positions
listed on the
Job Opportunities
tab of this site.
Be sure to read and follow all the instructions on each job posting. Pay special
attention to the To Apply section of
the posting, because each posting may have different instructions/requirements
for submitting your initial application.
Remember to include the code and any other information requested on the
posting with your resume/application and any correspondence. Failure to follow
the instructions in the posting and/or to provide the requested information may
disqualify you from the selection process.
Prior to an interview, you will be required to complete the Health Department's
employment application form in its entirety. You may
download and complete a blank form from this website
or pick one up at any of the Health Department's
locations.
Completing the form usually takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
When a posting specifies that application must be completed through
CareerBuilder, then only the electronic application form through CareerBuilder
will be accepted as initial application.
When a posting does not specify that application must be completed through
CareerBuilder (or does not contain specific instructions on how to apply), you
can submit your initial application the following ways:
-
Drop off your resume/completed
application form,
or have someone else drop it off, at any of the Health Department’s
locations.
-
E-mail your resume/completed
application form,
or have someone else e-mail it as directed in the posting. E-mailed resumes
must be in Word for Windows format or flat ASCII pasted into a message. Do
not send zipped files and files in other formats.
-
Stop by any of the Health Department’s
locations
and complete an application on the premises. Applications are available at
the receptionist’s desk.
-
Mail your resume/completed application to:

Village Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017
Be sure to include the code for
the position(s) for which you are applying on the top of the first page of
your resume/application. Resumes/ completed application forms that do not
have a code will be disqualified.

receives your resume/application by the date and time specified in the
posting when a deadline is indicated.
Resumes/completed application forms that are not received by this
