Diabetes Classes and Workshops

The Health Department’s diabetes program is holding free classes and workshops for people to learn more about diabetes.

The classes will be:

12:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 1, and 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, at the Grant County Library, 201 Barnes Road, Williamstown, Ky.

5:30 to 8 p.m. on the following Tuesdays: March 16, March 23 and March 30, at the Grant County Library, 201 Barnes Road, Williamstown, Ky.

Registration for the classes is not required, but preferred. Those who attend all sessions will receive a diabetes toolkit at the end.

The workshop will be held:

9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, at the Northern Kentucky Health Department’s District Office, 610 Medical Village Drive, Edgewood, Ky. Registration is required. Lunch will be provided.

Topics will include: what is diabetes, healthy eating, complications and more. The classes will be led by a registered nurse and a registered dietitian from the Health Department.
