10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

At 11 a.m. all mothers will have their babies latch

Where
B
oone County Extension Office, 6028 Camp Ernst Road, Burlington, Ky.

Why
Only 54 percent of Kentucky babies born in 2009 were ever breastfeed, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Only Louisiana had a lower breastfeeding rate. One of the reasons for the low breastfeeding rates is a lack of community support. Besides the fun aspect participating in a worldwide contest, it’s hoped that this event will also connect local breastfeeding mothers with one another and with community resources that support breastfeeding.
